Ethiopia

Ethiopia is located in the north-eastern part of the African continent. It shares borders with such countries as Djibouti, Eritrea, Somalia, Kenya, and Sudan; it is washed by the Red Sea. As the map shows, the Ethiopia’s terrain is mostly mountainous. Its climate is subequatorial, hot enough. Ethiopia's population is of 85 million people and is divided into two ethnic groups - Semites and Kushites. The official language is Amharic. The dominant religions in almost equal proportions are Christianity and Islam. The monetary unit of Ethiopia is Birr. The capital of the country is Addis Ababa.

Ethiopia is rich in places of interest, the real jewel of which is the city of Axum (once the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Aksum, which originates from the Solomon dynasty). Another ancient center of Ethiopia is the city of Gondar. It is here where the most ancient monasteries and the shrines of the Orthodox Church are situated; among them is a "miraculous pool", which, according to legend, treats women for infertility. In the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa is the Coptic Church of St. George, the palace of Emperor Menelik, the "Palace of Africa", the famous market "Mercato", a number of museums and other attractions of Ethiopia. You will obviously notice the real wonder of the world - Christ the Savior Cathedral, the Church of St. George and the Church of the Virgin Mary, carved in the rock. In these temples dominates the atmosphere, which cannot be put into words.

The territory of the country is full of numerous national parks, located in the most picturesque corners of Ethiopia, where the unique flora and fauna are preserved. It is not an exaggeration that the charming corners of Ethiopia include the Awash River, the Lake Tana, Abaya and Abiyata, and majestic waterfalls of the Blue Nile. The view of this waterfall is mesmerizing; tourists always take photos of this waterfall.

Journey to Ethiopia is a warm climate, sunny weather, colorful culture and the possibility of relatively cheap holiday.
